Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about registration, refunds, team rosters, schedules, divisions and game-day policies for adult volleyball leagues in Mississauga.
Registration & getting started
How do I sign up for a volleyball league in Mississauga?
Sign up solo and we'll place you on a team that matches your night and skill level, or register your own squad. Either way, you'll be on the court in minutes.
Do I need my own team to play?
No — most of our players join on their own. We put you on a skill-matched roster with people at your level, so you'll fit right in from the first serve.
I registered as an individual player — what can I expect?
You'll be placed on a team with other players who also registered individually. We aim for 8–9 players per team in 6s leagues and 5–6 in 4s. A jersey is included with every individual registration.
I'm registered as an individual — can my friend be on my team?
Yes, as long as there's space on the team and the league hasn't started. Note the request during registration, or email admin@volleyballmississauga.com.
I missed the registration deadline or the league has already started — can I join the waitlist?
Email admin@volleyballmississauga.com to discuss your options or join the waitlist.
Cost, refunds & rosters
How much does a season cost?
Seasons start around $88 per player or $700 for a full team. Pay in full to save, or hold your spot with a $250 deposit and settle the rest at your first match.
What is the refund policy?
Registrations are fully refundable until 5 business days before the first game, or once schedules are posted — whichever comes first. If a province-mandated shutdown occurs, refunds are issued pro-rata for any unplayed games.
What is the maximum team roster size?
There is currently no player maximum, though this may change with COVID-19 guidelines. Every player must be registered and on the roster to be eligible, and staff take attendance at the door.
Playing & schedule
Can my team request to play games only at a certain time?
We can't guarantee it, especially when it would create an unfair schedule for other teams. Email admin@volleyballmississauga.com with your request and we'll let you know what's possible.
The weather is bad (rain, heat, wind) — are games still on?
All games are played rain or shine. Whenever weather forces a cancellation, we always notify teams by email.
Where are the games played?
We play in well-kept gyms right here in Mississauga, including Erindale Secondary School, Applewood Heights Secondary School and the Adult Education Centre.
Which nights can I play?
Leagues run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, with new seasons starting throughout the year. Just pick the night that fits your week.
Divisions & season format
What skill level can I expect in a Mississauga Volleyball league?
We divide teams into divisions by skill level, running as many as four divisions a night — from recreational to competitive to advanced.
Are placement and playoff games counted in the season length?
Yes. Placement games determine which division a team belongs in, and both placement and playoff games count toward the total season length.
